    Reporting to the Director, Continuing Education, this position is responsible for managing the administration and delivery of Productivity Enhancement Services programming and is accountable for supporting institutional and departmental growth targets. Success is supported by being actively engaged in the pursuit of high quality, accessible and flexible learning experiences that serve students and industry. A thorough understanding of adult education, course/program development and delivery, staff and student relationship management, enrollment management as well as business fundamentals are required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership of program quality and instructor excellence, oversight of all program operational activities, supervision and mentorship of portfolio staff, leadership of student experience excellence, management of portfolio budgets and the participation in strategic planning sessions and stewardship activities are key responsibilities of this position. Marketing courses, expanding new markets for existing courses as well as working with the CED Business Development Manager to develop new courses to increase enrolment is a priority.

    Academic delivery includes ensuring quality curriculum, organizing and allocating resources, supervision of staff, ensuring academic policies and procedures are followed, preparing requests for new courses, evaluating relevance of existing courses and ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the instructional delivery process.

    Abilities, Skills, And Knowledge
    Proven ability, and demonstrated success identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and operationalizing new initiatives.
    Ability to work in a high paced environment, with a collaborative team centric approach
    Well-honed business skills to manage the financial commitments of the portfolio
    Solid communication and human resources skills to manage student and staff relationships
    Strong operating knowledge of the post-secondary training and higher education landscape in Alberta, and Western Canada.

    Qualifications
    Related undergraduate degree (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    5 years industry experience with exposure to a wide variety of sectors; experience working in a post-secondary education setting would be an asset
    Strong business planning, business development, budgeting, and operations management experience is required.
